Failure Phenomenon
Informed by the customer that this iPhone had the quick power consumption and it was seriously overheating no matter it was charging or using. Moreover, the screen turned into horizontal occasionally while skimming the photos. 
Maintenance Procedures:
After connecting the phone to the DC power supply then turn on and enter into the system. Testing the phone with the screen off, it was found that the working current with screen off was around 250mA. As shown in Pic 1-1. The working current 250mA is obviously not normal under the situation of screen off.

We still kept testing the other function of the phone and we noticed that the compass could not be used. As shown in Pic 1-2.

Disassembling the motherboard and measuring the ground impedance values of the compass chipset’s power supply, it was found that the voltage pp3V0_IMU was the short circuit. As shown in Pic 1-3.

By comparing the circuit diagram and analysis, we noticed that there are few filter capacitors on the circuit of voltage PP3V0_IMU. Regarding the fault of voltage short circuit, we certainly needed to eliminate the cause of the capacitors on the circuit first, so we had to remove the capacitors on the circuit one by one. After we took off the capacitor C1902 (As shown in Pic 1-4), the voltage PP3V0_IMU was back to normal. The circuit of C1902 is shown in Pic 1-5.

Taking a same capacitor from the material board, we had to boot test after replacing a new capacitor. The working current with screen off was back to normal. As shown in Pic 1-6.

Testing the compass function in the system again, it was working well. This problem solved. As shown in Pic 1-7.
